Group Training OverviewSavvy provides numerous health & fitness programs that cater for a wide range of clientele. Our programs are unique, innovative and effective. These programs are designed to incorporate all of the health & fitness components and to produce maximum results.

Savvy has taken an innovative approach to group training. Savvy is about allowing you to easily incorporate activity into your lifestyle. All you have to do is show up.

Offering over 20 classes on the schedule and two locations we have discovered a winning formula to keep our members continually challenged and satisfied with their training.

Savvy strives to consistently create a culture of welcome and a fun vibrant atmosphere like no other whilst enjoying the benefits of training in an outdoor environment.

When training in a group, motivation levels stay strong and strong bonds are formed. Physically you will be achieving your desired goals much faster while emotionally you will experience support and friendship from others in achieving these goals.

Trainers

All of our trainers are fully qualified and are there to support & encourage you whilst you learn new skills and engage in challenging activities - Meet our Savvy Trainers

We provide a minimum of 2 and up to 5 qualified instructors each class of whom facilitate your progress.

Trainers will design and implement sessions allowing for varying fitness levels. When required, trainers will provide options for beginners, intermediate, advanced and those dealing with injury or medical conditions.

We ensure that our trainers are always up to date with the latest fitness training techniques and equipment.

Our group programs are specifically structured to create a positive affect in your performance.

The group training schedule is specifically designed to allow for variety in your training and to cater for a wide range of training abilities and needs. The programs we offer are listed below and cater for all ages & all levels of fitness. Some programs do not require equipment whilst many do.

Savvy provides all equipment necessary and uses the most up to date, safe methods of training.

We often make use of Bosu Balls, Fit Balls, Yoga Mats, Punching Gloves & Pads, Inners, Weight Bar & Plates, Medicine Balls, Kettle Bells, Resistance Bands, TRX and more.

X Train

circuitX Train: An outdoor high intensity circuit based class incorporating a combination of resistance and cardio respiratory based exercises. This program utilises a range of fitness tools such as weights, slam balls, ropes, tyres, skipping ropes, kettle bells and more. This class will dramatically improve your overall fitness and muscle tone.

 

Core

coreCore: This program utilises the Bosu ball (An athletic training device shaped like a dome), TRX (Suspension training) and other core conditioning tools. This program works with stable/unstable exercise options that predominantly work the core  muscles as it challenges balance and stability.

   

Flex

flexFlex: A combination of yoga and pilates with core conditioning and static stretching. The focus of this session is to improve strength, flexibility and core stability. Flex is useful in combination with all other Savvy programs and aids in muscle recovery.

 

Run - Interval

Survivor7_S23_IMG_8910-20091216Run Interval: High intensity speed work with recovery. Utilises the outdoors and various terrain whether it be hills, sand, stairs or flats. One of the fastest ways to improve cardiovascular fitness!

   

Lift

Lift: Requires the use of weights. Lift challenges all your major muscle groups as it strengthens and conditions your entire body. Sure to improve your overall body composition and your body's ability to burn energy efficiently. This program focuses on strength, tone and muscular endurance.

All weights are provided.

 

Punch

Survivor7_S23_IMG_6498-20091213Punch: This session combines boxing, running and resistance exercises. Sure to improve and condition the entire body. In this program you will learn new skills and techniques to keep you in peak condition.

   

Run - Continuous

Survivor7_S23_IMG_6981-20091213Run - Continuous: Here we concentrate on improving cardiovascular fitness through endurance running. During a Continuous Run session we work on improving distance and achieving personal running goals of selected distances.

The RUN program allows our members to train for such events like the 'City to Surf', and the Gold Coast marathon.This class will get you running distances you may never thought you could achieve. In summer months we also offer a soft sand beach run.

 

Savvy Athletes

Savvy Athletes: Specialised training and preparation for specific events throughout the year.

The activities could include running, cycling, swimming, yoga, strength training and more. These programs are suitable for any participant looking to improve their fitness and athletic performance.

   

Savvy Kids

Savvy Kids: Savvy Kids is a 45 minute session which is aimed at getting kids active!

Savvy Kids is about providing children with an opportunity for physical activity in a fun and non-threatening environment.

This session involves the use of fun games and activities that will promote and improve motor skills and fitness. We also run Savvy Kids Camp every School holidays.

 

Savvy Mums

Survivor7_S23_IMG_9496-20091217Savvy Mums: This program is specifically for parents with young children to assist in accessing fitness.Savvy Mums session consists of cardio and resistance based exercises great for weight loss and toning.

It focuses specifically on posture, back, core, pelvic floor, gluteals and upper body.
This session also has a great social benefit for mums.
